Sunday Hikes: Cold Creek Preserve
Sun, Mar 21, 9 am - Meet at Temescal Gateway Park parking lot at the northwest corner of Sunset Blvd. and Temescal Canyon Road.
Our Trailmeister Ron Webster will lead us on a hike starting on the Yucca trail at Mulholland, then on the Stunt High Trail to the Cold Creek Preserve, a round trip of about 7 miles with considerable gain. Hikes are free and open to the public, all are welcome. Parking passes will be provided. Wear boots or heavy shoes, bring water and lunch. Questions? call (310) 459-5931

Racers will run through Los Feliz, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Westwood, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades and finish with Music, Food and fun are at the heart of the Finish Line Beach Party, which takes place on the beach next to the Santa Monica Pier. Spectators join with runners in a rousing celebration of the considerable accomplishment that comes with completing the 26.2-mile race.

Check out the exhibit by artist Richard C. Miller a master of Vintage Carbro Printing. As a practitioner of the exceptionally stable color process known as carbro printing, Miller’s work has been positioned adjacent to the work of one of the masters of that technique-- Paul Outerbridge. Carbro printing, is a difficult and time-consuming process requiring the layering of cyan, magenta and yellow pigment separations. Miller's exhibit "Over the Long Run" also includes pictures from 1948-1953 he photographed of the building of the Hollywood Freeway, not on assignment or for other commercial purposes, but because he was in awe of its monumentality.
